  •   OTalk2US will have some great hosts coming up.  On February 3rd at 4 pm (Super Bowl Sunday), Karen Jacobs (last year’s Eleanor Slagle Lecturer) will be talking about her work as editor of WORK journal.  Winnie Dunn (known for her work of the Sensory Profile) will be hosting on April 7th at 4 pm and her topic is Employing a Strengths Based Approach in a Problem Focused World.  These are great opportunities for USC students to interact with icons in our field and other like minded OT professionals and students.   Hash tag to follow or contribute for this Twitter chat is #otalk2us
  •  To 2nd years- If any prospective OTD student wants to know what it is like to do a residency with an international OT, I am open to answer any questions you may have via email.  It can be a fun, rewarding, and educational experience.  But, it may not be an easy process to get started, especially if you are not an international student.  Since I have a very successful residency experience, however, I don’t mind sharing it in detail for students who might be thinking this direction.
  • Check out http://otalkocchats.wordpress.com/ and http://otalk2us.wordpress.com/ for transcripts for past OTalk/Occhat and OTalk2US Twitter chats
  • Soon-to-be hot OT item- A student from Western Michigan University is planning on designing an official (or two) Mental Health 4 OT T-shirts.  (You can check out the designs on MH4OT group on Facebook.)  Will update when the T-shirts are released... as this may not be a bad T-shirt to wear for your mental health fieldwork placements.
