8) OTD Representative (Bill):
Discussion

  • Considering the growth of OTD program this year, I would like to vote on having 2 OTD representatives next year- ask for two at elections
  • Date for the next OT 24 Hour Virtual Exchange is unknown, as of my meeting with my preceptor on 3/20 and I won’t meet her again until Finals week.  So, I would like next year’s OTD rep(s) to follow up and raise awareness of this virtual conference next year.  If OTD rep(s) doesn’t pick up, then this becomes PDC’s responsibility.
  • I just learned this last week (as I hosted an #OTalk on 3/19)- hosts for #OTalk and #Occhat are now given online certificates in recognition for their work.  Because of this, this is now  a wonderful item to be put on one’s CV.  Therefore, I would like PDC to raise awareness of these two Twitter chats and #OTalk2US from next school year and participate (if able).  In other words, this responsibility should be on the “council duties by position sheet”.

Update

  • Some of the recordings with transcripts for OT 24 Hour Virtual Exchange are now up on the OT4OT web site.
  • Some exciting hosts for #OTalk2US coming up- Winnie Dunn (4/7), Erik Johnson (4/14), Amy Lamb (7/7).

  • It takes approximately 5 weeks to obtain funding for events, so please submit the requests EARLY
  • The Treasurer submits the proper forms to obtain the funding from GSG, other members do NOT do this, so please communicate with the treasurers to get your funding from any source
  • If you need help finding a vendor (restaurant, office supply store, party store, etc.) for the items you need for the event, here is a list of commonly used, approved vendors by USC:
