  1. Fall 2015 Meetings - Last meeting of the semester is November 23rd from 5:00-6:30pm in CHP 112
  2. Meetings for next semester (room TBA)

COUNCIL ITEMS BY POSITION
  1. Faculty Liaison (Doug & Auston)
DISCUSSION:
    • We plan on initiating the OS/OT Professor Brown Bag Lunches starting on November 30th (Monday). The first group will be occupational scientists and researchers.
      • Faculty sign ups: Nov 15-20
      • Student sign ups: Nov 23-26
      • Two faculty per table
      • Collaborate with Professional Development chairs?
UPDATES:
    • No new comments for online suggestion box. We’ll be updating the faculty on the OT/PT forum, OT Potluck, and donation drive in December.  
  1. Fundraising (Amy & Carolin)
DISCUSSION:
    • The quote for a 2 color logo in the front on American Apparel shirt is 150 @ $7.59 each. How much should pre-sale shirts cost? How much for t-shirts after pre-sale?
      • Presale: $10-12
      • Post: $15-20
      • Hopefully have before Thanksgiving/Winter Break
UPDATES:
    • We have chosen a logo design. We are working on refining it and have it approved with AB Unlimited. We will be putting up a pre-sale list next week to get an estimate of how many shirts to buy.
  1. GSG Senator (Patience & Kaitlin)
DISCUSSION:
    • Best way to get student opinion on resolutions (Facebook post?)
      • Idea: create Survey monkey to assess opinions
    • Facebook group for OTSC to post important announcements for students only
  1. Historian (Heather & Evelyn)
UPDATES:
    • OT/PT Forum photos -> we will be there to represent/document. Please attend to support PTE
    • Next meeting we will be taking our group shot! More updates to follow on that.
    • Please remember to send interesting photos to your Historians for us to post to the Division/OTSC social media pages.
  1. International Affairs (Sarah & Ken)
UPDATES:
    • If you are interested in being a part of the International Forum committee, please email Sarah or Ken, so we know who is confirmed in writing. Thank you!
      • Consult with MA-I reps and Faculty liasons
DISCUSSION:
    • LOTA is requesting funding for Spanish Night. They would like to request $100 to be able to provide attending faculty free food.
  1. OTAC Representative (Jodie & Erwin)
UPDATES:
    • OTAC Region 2 Student Mixer at Angel City Brewery, 11/12 5:30 PM
    • We had great USC representation at the OTAC Conference in Sacramento!
8. OT House Liaison (Dana)
DISCUSSION:
    • Provide feedback on the OT house location to Dr. Liz Carley or Kim Kelton
  1. Philanthropy (May & Jamie)
UPDATES:
    • We had a great turn out this year for OT Global Day of Service with 22 participants across the 4 events (Engage, Charity Mile Walks, and Painted Brain). A big thank you to fundraising chairs and historians for helping promote and donating raffle prizes to the event!
  1. Professional Development (Rachel & Allison)
UPDATES:
    • First faculty/student mixer was a success! We had 6 students join 3 of our faculty for bowling. Currently working on more mixers as well as a lunch series with our research faculty.
    • Huntington’s Dance Documentary Screening
      • Interest in inviting producer to the event?
      • Reserve screening room in library
      • Discuss budget for popcorn/pizza?
      • Date TBD--potentially on a Monday during Spring semester
  1. Social Chair (Jen & Benz)
DISCUSSION:
    • End of the Year Party
      • Volunteers for committee
      • Opinions: Saturday
      • Quick committee meeting after! Thanks :)
    • Holiday Potluck
      • Volunteers for committee to help organize the day of (11/23), & per cohort to make class announcements
        • Send email if available to help at event
      • Patio reserved from 11 AM - 1 PM
      • Effective ways to market the event?
      • Sign up sheet will be sent out to everyone

    • Bought & received banner (~$50) - will be using at next tailgate!
    • USC vs Arizona OT/PT tailgate 11/7

    • Created Facebook event for Vegas trip (1/22-1/24)

    • Holiday Sweater Day on Monday, 11/30
    • Holiday party at Korean Karaoke?
