    • Host PT event “mixer”- Ice Cream Social - Budget Proposal of $70 (toppings, plates/utensils, ice cream)

    • Canine-Assisted Therapy presentation - brown bag lunch? OTD’s from USC  
    • 2 day intensive OT exam prep course through TherapyED - $295 - how do we gage student interest? Should I send out a survey to the program?

    • AOTA knowledge bowl - April 1, 2017 in Philadelphia @ AOTA conference (prep for NBCOT exam)

UPDATES:
  • AOTA Annual Conference March 30 - April 2 in Philadelphia
    • Leadership Awards should hopefully be announced this week
    • Buying flight tickets after March will become more expensive
    • Early registration for AOTA closes in February
  • AOTA general elections close January 31

  1. OTAC Representative (Erwin & Kaitlyn)
UPDATES:
  • OTAC Spring Symposium 3/04 - 3/05 in San Diego, CA
    • Student price: $99
    • Early bird price ends 02/03

  1. Faculty Liaison (Auston & Wesley)
UPDATES:
  • Next Faculty meeting on Friday, 1/27 at 10am
  • Sending OTSC Suggestion Box Email this week
  • Planning Brown Bag Lunches

  1. GSG Senator (Kaitlin & Katherine)
UPDATES:
  • Check HSC weekly update emails for updates regarding fun events including Dodgers games, Clippers games, wine tasting in Malibu, movie nights, Wednesday workouts, and more!
  • There will also be community service and professional development events hosted throughout the semester.
  • HSC Concerns Committee meetings are held every other Thursday from 5:30-6:30 NTT 7409. All students are welcome, and dinner is always provided.

DISCUSSION:
  • Come to Kaitlin’s community service event this Wednesday, January 25th from 4-6 here on the CHP patio! We will make sandwiches for both Union Station Homeless Services (a fieldwork site) and Midnight Mission (a student run clinic site).

  1. International Relations (Ken & Phil)
UPDATES:
  • Tentative date for International Forum 4/17, 4-6:30pm, Are there any conflicts?
    • Start building a calendar of future events
    • Ken will email Dr. Rafeedie regarding calendar
  • Thinking about Erna Blanche as our keynote speaker (International Forum).
  • 2nd years to speak regarding externship experiences
  • Theme: “The Future of OT Globally”
  • Another event in the works: “OT R&D”
    • Art day, research and design creativity event the week before the International Forum
  1. Fundraising (Carolin & Eddie)
UPDATES:
  • Sweater design approved, production in progress.  Rough ETA: end of this week
  • Souplantation FundRaiser - only $17.06! :( - check not received yet, though

DISCUSSION:
  • License Plate design?
    • Eddie will begin working on this
  • T-shirt design
  • Do fundraisers on main campus with Pre-OT club (CPK)
  • No go on the talent show in auditorium this year
    • Possibly CHP Patio
    • Date TBD (April?)

  • Share a Meal-Wednesday 2/8 @ 530 PM

DISCUSSION:
  • Confirm Date for City of Hope speaker -Monday March 20th in the evening (TBD)
    • Food at the event? TBD
  • Animal assisted therapy guest speaker- confirm date/time
  • 2nd annual life after USC panel sometime in April

UPDATES:
  • Vegas trip DONE!
  • Start planning the end of the year party
    • Begin making committees

  • Completed proposal for admissions department regarding feedback on BS to MA program

  • Will plan to meet with OTSC social chairs to implement changes based on proposal feedback
