    • OTSC Representative for Mandatory Recognition Meeting

  • AOTA Annual Conference March 30 - April 2
    • Registration fee goes up on February 28
  • 3E Love Fundraising idea
  1. OTAC Representative (Erwin & Kaitlyn)
UPDATES:
  • OTAC Spring Symposium | March 4 - March 5 in San Diego, CA
    • Student price: $99
  • OTAC Legislative Reception | April 27, time and location TBD
  • Festival of Books, April 23rd on main campus, time TBD, need volunteers (sign up sheet will be sent out soon)   
  1. Faculty Liaison (Auston & Wesley)
UPDATES: Brown Bag Lunch with Mental Health and Lifestyle Redesign Faculty February 15th, 12-1pm, Room CHP 111
  • Hoping to plan 1 or more brown bag lunches during the rest of the semester
  1. GSG Senator (Kaitlin & Katherine)
UPDATES:
  • Volunteer at LA Marathon March 19th (sign up in GSG Weekly email coming soon)
  • Walk or volunteer at Walk MS at the Rose Bowl on April 23rd (sign up in GSG weekly email coming soon)
  • Look at GSG UPC and HSC weekly update emails for more social, cultural, and community service events!
  1. Fundraising (Carolin & Eddie)
UPDATES:
  • Most people picked up sweatshirts
    • Missing a few -- see if any are lying around
  • Second order placed and should be coming in soon
  • Looking to be about $2000 total revenue

DISCUSSION:
  • Reasonable pricing for license plates: $30-$35 for nice chrome plates, $20-$25 for cheaper plastic ones?
    • Need to gage interest still

DISCUSSION:
  1. Working on setting a date for OT’s role in Oncology speaker (Monday April 17th  or the 24th from 4-5 pm
  2. Working on setting a date for the Canine-assisted therapy speaker (Monday, March 20th, brown bag lunch)

  1. Social Chair (Benz & Trisha)
UPDATES:
  • End of Year Party Committee
    • Decide on theme, music, drinks etc.
    • Will make FB group for committee
  • 3 Possible Places for End of Year Party(LA area, Glendale, etc)
    • Take pictures of places he visits & talk to OTSC about prices
    • Possible Dates: April 28th, *May 5th
      • Fridays generally work best
    • OT Faculty will have priority; set limits on “plus one’s”
  • Possible camping trip with OTSC
    • Do it next year with future first years
    • Dinner with current first & second years?
      • Trisha will send doodle form with possible dates

UPDATES: In communication with GSG to get funding for end of the year party.
  • Funds have been deposited into our account
    • Allocate so students payments are going toward alcohol & GSG is paying for the rest.

  • Submit pictures for end of year slide show

  • OT Extravaganza: Kaleidoscope of OT is coming up on April 8th from 10-2pm
  • Spread the word about placing orders for TherapyEd NBCOT prep books and AOTA online subscription
  1. BS/MA Rep (Kimmy)
UPDATES:
  • BS to MA feedback proposal submitted to Admissions team

DISCUSSION:
  • Electing a junior BS/MA rep and senior possibly be their OT counterpart
  • Social events for undergrad students that non-alcohol related events and are possibly closer to main campus
