      Determine changes to OTSC structure
      Decide upon OTSC outing

      Announcements and New Business:
o   Guest speaker - Kim Kho @ 12:30 pm
o   Reminder: Meeting should start at 12:10 and end by 12:50 pm
o   New OTSC agenda structure
      Set up how meeting will be run

Present to e-board changes to OTSC structure:
      OTSC does not represent needs of MA-I and OTD/PhD students as they have other needs - remove these positions from council
      Mimic structure of Division itself and OTAC
      Executive board would consist of:
o   Chair (2nd year)
o   Secretary (2nd year)
o   Treasurer (2nd year)
o   Vice Chair (1st year)
      Committee chairs would consist of:
o   Advocacy & Government (2nd year)
       GSG Senator
       ASD Representative
       OTSpeaks
       OTAC Liaison
o   Professional Development (2nd year)
       Faculty Liaison
       Undergrad Representative
       International Relations
o   Fundraising (2nd year)
o   Philanthropy (2nd year)
o   Events (2nd year)
       Historian
       Social
      Each committee chair would lead committee members
o   Committee members would consist of mostly 1st years
      Executive board and committee chairs need to have been committee members prior to being voted into these positions (internal vote)
      Anyone can run for committee member positions (external vote)
      Can still remain active in a committee if not voted into higher position
      Committees would meet separately (more autonomous) and executive board would meet once a month
      Streamline voting through email to executive board
      New structure would not be implemented until 2 years later
Needs feedback:
      Changes will be sent out for further feedback since structure not fully fleshed out
      Also provide a visual structure
      All suggestions welcome

OTSC outing:  
      Dinner? Or more of a bonding type event like bowling or ice skating?
      Month of November?
o   Weekday vs weekend?
Vote on place and funds:
      A poll will be sent out to vote on possible dates
      More details will be sent out by Chairs and Social Chairs
      Voting of funds will be via email

Shared Plates:
      Friday, November 9th from 3:30 - 7:00 pm
o   Located at CHP kitchen
      Philanthropy, wellness, and diversity fusion event
o   Proceeds will go to a local Meals on Wheels
o   Building community by cooking and eating together
o   Different cultural dishes will be prepared
      Students and faculty invited
      Paired with Global Initiatives

Civic Engagement event:
      Starting Monday, October 29th to Election Day (Tuesday, November 6th)
      Social media based initiative
      Spotlight on students and faculty that promote civic engagement
      Monday, November 5th - raffle to win:
o   Patagonia quarter-zip fleece jacket ($66 value)?
o   OTSC merchandise?
Vote on funds:
      Majority vote to have OTSC merchandise provided for Monday, November 5th raffle instead of $66 Patagonia fleece jacket

Brown Bag event:
      Monday, November 12th - Rebecca Aiken
      OT in Home Health
Vote on funds ($20) for brown bag to be used to provide coffee/tea/snacks:
      Majority vote to fund brown bag event
Fundraising - Melinda & Daniel
Custom mugs & stickers (OT-Rex design):
      Stickers (4x4): $5-6 each
      Mugs: $10-12 each
      Profit estimate: Double what was paid
      Design contest for a fundraiser?
      Winter break: there will be a t-shirt design option to participate in
Vote on funds: $500 for 250 stickers , $900 for 144 mugs:
      Hold off on voting for now
      Interest poll will be sent out and then vote for funds will be via email

      USC got 2nd place in the NBCOT Knowledge Bowl

2)    ASD Representatives - Brittanie & Beth
National Student Conclave - Atlantic City, New Jersey
      Brittanie and Beth will attend alongside awardees November 9th-10th
3)    Professional Development  - Catherine & Linda

      Recent grad- life after the program (adult rehab/ home health)
4)    Fundraising  - Melinda & Daniel
      Merchandise sale ongoing (Open shop Week 12 and by appointment)
      New merchandise with OT-Rex design
      T-shirt design contest to run over winter break - TBA
5)    Historians - Julian & Janis
      Currently featuring students on social media once a week
      mOTivational Mondays every Monday featuring faculty and words of wisdom (GREAT IDEA JANIS!!)
      If you would like a post made please make sure to let both of us know so that if one person can’t post/forgets the other person is also made aware!
      If you would like a FB event or social media post please let us know and we can send you the google form to fill out with all the necessary information
6) GSG Senators- Sarina

GSG meetings:
      October 25th - re: construction of Currie 2 on HSC & addressing future parking/food concerns
      Do any OTSC events need to be “pushed” by GSG? Contact us!

7) International Relations
     - Carlos & Sanny
      Possible event in November
      Monthly/once a semester newsletter of worldwide OT News and Events; OT needs throughout the world.

      Register accounts with Kim
      Social media reminders:
      Professionalism
      Do not use social media in class and in fieldwork
      Need permission from everyone in the photo or from the clinical site BEFORE posting photos
      There are levels of approval that need to occur for social media
      Seek permission from media coordinator of site regarding fieldwork
