Election update (no. of candidates, unopposed/empty positions)

- 20 election candidates
- PhD., BS-MA, and MA-I positions remain empty. Will reach out to program directors to nominate candidates.
- Voting will run from July 23, 2020-August 2, 2020.
- Responses will be tallied on Monday, August 3, 2020 with position notifications sent out.
- Retreat Friday, August 7, 2020 4:00-5:30 p.m. PDT.
- Record our retreat for future reference.

CCC Integration question -- should we integrate CCC into OTSC, or should we leave them as two separate orgs?
Our decision would be forwarded to CCC--it wouldn’t be a binding decision, but it would be a vision for where it goes next.
Mentorship Circles - potential absorption from Global Initiatives, maybe Kayla, Sarah + incoming MA-1 members can collaborate with that? |

- Solutions:
- Instate a Social Committee to expand the Social Chair Position, to absorb the social functions of CCC into OTSC.
- Accept aspects of CCC into OTSC structure.
- Transition mentorship circles from CCC to umbrella of Global Initiatives.

Possible to hold a meeting to gather leads from student orgs to develop systems + processes to improve communication and collaboration? Also, thoughts on promoting use of the shared calendar?

- Get together with student organization leaders to discuss ideas of how to generate increased collaboration and communication.
- Expectation of incoming Vice Chair to assemble student organizations.
- Explore modes to share events that reach all students and avoid overlap.
- Social Media Representative to coordinate event promotion among organizations.
- Philanthropy Chair to outline protocol.

Tuition Petition to GSG

- Advocate for tuition reimbursement on behalf of the student body.
- A Google survey will be sent to students to gather information about tuition grievances and changes in academic experiences.
- Once responses are registered OTSC will collaborate to send a joint letter to GSG.
